A bright young coaching mind with a strong football background, Shawn Seabrooks played at Rutgers University from 2000-02, the latter two seasons while current William Paterson head coach Mike Miello was on the Scarlet Knights’ coaching staff. He begins his third season on the Pioneer staff in 2007.

Seabrooks was a three-year starter at defensive back for the Scarlet Knights and earned all-Big East first-team honors in 2002. He was also named the squad’s Defensive Most Valuable Player in 2001 and 2002. His career started at the University of Tennessee after a stellar prep career at Eastside High School in Paterson, where he was a SuperPrep all-American in 1997.

A 1998 graduate of the Rosa Parks School for Fine and Performing Arts in Paterson, Seabrooks earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Rutgers in 2003, and he resides in Paterson with his son, Shawn Jr.
