John Ciurciu joined the Pioneers’ staff in 2007 as the defensive line coach. An all-conference and all-county running back at Elmwood Park High School, Ciurciu attended Valley Forge Military Academy before moving on to Rutgers University, where he played fullback for the Scarlet Knights.

Prior to joining the William Paterson staff, Ciurciu coached the defensive line at Paramus Catholic High School (2003) and nationally-ranked Don Bosco Prep (2004-06), coordinating the strength and conditioning programs at each school.

The director of recreation in Franklin Lakes, N.J., Ciurciu and his wife, Jessica, have two children -- Madison and Luke.
