William Paterson University Athletics

Mary O’Connor returned to her alma mater to serve her second season as a William Paterson field hockey assistant coach in 2018.
 
O’Connor (2008-11) started all 74 of her career appearances as a midfielder and a back. Named to the 2009-10, 2010-11 and 2011-12 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Squads and New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) All-Academic Honorable Mentions, she was a four-time Dean’s List student.
 
A native of Ramsey, N.J., O’Connor graduated magna cum laude from WP in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in physical education, and is a physical education teacher at Bergen County Technical School.
