Former Pioneer Danielle Herbek returned to WP as a field hockey assistant coach in 2012 after serving as an undergraduate assistant coach during the 2008 campaign.

Herbek (2004-07) started in 39 of her 64 career appearances, posting totals of 11 goals and four assists for 26 points. As a senior, the forward started 11 of 20 contests and contributed nine points (4 g, 1 a) to rank fifth for the Pioneers in goals. As a junior in 2006, she had career-best numbers in goals (five) and points (11), and she helped lead William Paterson to three ECAC Mid-Atlantic Tournament bids during her four seasons, including a semifinal berth during the 2007 campaign.

A native of Lincoln Park, Herbek completed a bachelor’s degree in history at William Paterson in 2009.
