Amanda Hyland joined the William Paterson field hockey staff as an assistant coach in August 2024.
Hyland brings a wealth of coaching experience with her to WP. She currently is in her seventh year as the head varsity coach at Saint John Vianney High School and has additionally served as the head goalkeeping coach at Surf & Sand Field Hockey Club since 2015 and as an assistant coach with the USAFH Futures Program since 2016.
On top of coaching, Hyland has been teaching at Holmdel High School since 2016. Â
Prior to beginning her teaching and coaching careers, she was a goalkeeper at Monmouth University from 2011-14 where she was a part of three Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) regular season titles, a MAAC Tournament title and an NCAA Tournament berth. She also was named to the MAAC All-Academic Team during all four seasons.
Hyland graduated from Monmouth University in 2014 with her bachelor’s in biology and education before completing her master’s in STEM education from The American College of Education.
