Prior to William Paterson: A first-team all-league linebacker as a senior at Bogota H.s., he holds the school records for longest rush (99 yards) and most kickoff returns for a touchdown in a single game (two) … Posted 2008 season totals of eight rushing TDs, 728 rushing yards, 200 receiving yards, 80 solo tackles, six sacks, three forced fumbles, four kickoff return touchdowns, and two blocked field goals … Was a second-team all-league pick after a junior season that saw him accumulate 580 rushing yards, 400 passing yards, five passing and eight rushing TDs, 75 solo tackles, three sacks and two forced fumbles … Helped lead Bogota to the 2006 North 1 Group 1 state title and a 12-0 record … Also lettered in track, baseball and basketball, earning all-county honors four times while scoring more than 1,000 points on the hardwood.
