Field Hockey Defeated by No. 14 Stevens

HOBOKEN, N.J. – The William Paterson field hockey team (0-6) was defeated 8-0 on the road by No. 14 Stevens (5-2) Sept. 23.  
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Stevens tallied three goals within the first 5:35 of action to grab an early 3-0 advantage.
  • The Ducks added a pair of goals in the second period to extend their lead to five (5-0) before heading into the halftime break.
  • Stevens tacked on one goal in the third period and two more in the fourth before securing the 8-0 home win.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Junior goalie Sofia Chebookjian (Ocean Township, N.J./Ocean Township) recorded a career-high 21 saves.
 
UP NEXT:
  • William Paterson hosts Sweet Briar Friday, Sept. 25, at 4:00 p.m. at Wightman Stadium.
