Women’s Soccer Earns 2-0 Victory over Bard

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson women's soccer team (3-3) shut out Bard (2-2-1), 2-0, Sept. 19.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Senior Julianna Demetrious (North Brunswick, N.J./South Brunswick) gave the Pioneers a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 29th minute.
  • In the 57th minute, freshman Kylie Grompone (Emerson, N.J./Emerson) hit the back of the net on a pass from senior Christina Jimenez (Bayville, N.J./Central Regional).

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Freshman Kylie Grompone (Emerson, N.J./Emerson) collected her first career goal.
  • Senior Julianna Demetrious (North Brunswick, N.J./South Brunswick) tallied her first career strike.
  • Sophomore Alessandra Socio (North Brunswick, N.J./St. Thomas Aquinas) posted three saves in goal.
