WAYNE, N.J. – Two late goals proved costly as the William Paterson men's soccer team (3-7-2, 1-3 NJAC) suffered a 3-1 Senior Day loss to Ramapo (7-3-2, 2-1-1 NJAC) Oct. 10.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Roadrunners broke the scoreless deadlock with an unassisted goal in the 19th minute.
• Senior midfielder Matty Escobar (Kearny, N.J./Kearny) was fouled just outside the left corner of the box during the 24th minute, and junior midfielder Davide Zamuner (Piverone, Italy/Liceo Scientifico Statale A. Gramsci) bent the free kick over the wall to inside the left post for the equalizer, 1-1.
• The two teams traded chances during the second half, but Ramapo was able to convert during the 89th and 90th minutes to secure a win.

 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Graduate student Luca Misko (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater Raritan) finished with seven saves in goal.
• Prior to the match, WP honored seniors Jonathan Antonio (Edison, N.J./Edison), Escobar, Misko and Thomas Rogan (Lyndhurst, N.J./Lyndhurst).
