Women's Soccer Edged 1-0 by Rutgers-Newark on Senior Day

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson women's soccer team (6-4-1, 1-1-1 NJAC) came up short, 1-0, against Rutgers-Newark (4-3-1, 1-1-0 NJAC) on Senior Day in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) home match Oct. 4 at Pioneer Soccer Park.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Rutgers-Newark netted the game's lone goal in the final two minutes of the first half to take a 1-0 lead over the Pioneers.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Mantilla tallied five saves.
