Women's Soccer Captures 1-0 Win Over Bard College

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The William Paterson women's soccer team (3-3-1) captured a 1-0 victory over Bard (2-3-1) Sept. 20. 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • Graduate student forward Julia Fiorito (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North) delivered the lone goal of the night, dribbling past several defenders to score in the 29th minute. 
  • Junior goalkeeper Sarah Mantilla (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) kept Bard off the board and made five saves the rest of the way to preserve the clean sheet. 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 
  • Fiorito scored her second goal of the season. 
  • Mantilla made five saves.
