Women’s Soccer Drops Home Opener, 2-0

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson women's soccer team (1-1) fell during its home opener Sept. 1 to Sarah Lawrence (1-0), 2-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Gryphons headed in a cross in the 27th minute for a 1-0 edge, and finished a deflection for a 2-0 advantage in the 37th minute.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Junior Sarah Mantilla (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) made five saves in goal for the Pioneers.
