Women's Swimming and Diving Secures Sixth Consecutive Victory Over John Jay, 101-81

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (8-2) earns their sixth consecutive win with an 101-81 victory over John Jay (1-6) on Dec. 10 at Wightman Pool.

TOP PERFORMERS:
  • Junior Sarah Gomez (Paterson, N.J./Passaic County Tech) led the Pioneers with first-place finishes in the 100 fly (1:07.01) and 200 IM (2:23.25).
  • Freshman Katelyn Antonoff (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) touched the wall first in the 200 free (2:11.39).
  • Freshman Olivia Morrison (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown) earned first-place in the one meter dive, finishing with a score of 147.90.
  • Freshman Sarah Churchill (Washington Twp., N.J./Westwood) was victorious in the 1000 free (12:56.35).
  • Senior Samantha Pricken (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) secured first-place in the 100 free (58.11).
  • WP won the 200 medley relay, with efforts from freshmen Nicole Ross-Morrey (Rahway, N.J./Rahway), Dalisha Romero (Perth Amboy, N.J./Perth Amboy), Skylar Coleman (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) and Frances Gomes (Kearny, N.J./Kearny), finishing with a time of 2:18.72.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Gomez surpassed her previous record in the 100 fly (1:07.01).
  • Churchill recorded a personal best in the 200 IM (2:46.20).
  • Savannah Morante (Wayne, N.J./Scranton H.S.) achieved a new personal best in the 50 free (34.95)
