Women's Swimming and Diving Wins Seven Events to Claim 83-64 Victory Over Lehman

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving (9-4-1) secured seven first-place finishes en route to a 83-64 victory against Lehman (3-8) Jan. 23 at Wightman Pool.
 
TOP PERFORMERS:
  • Graduate student Rose Vail (Phoenix, Md./Dulaney) touched the wall first in the 50 free (27.06) and 100 free (1:02.10).
  • Junior Samantha Pricken (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) was victorious in the 200 free (2:11.37) and 200 back (2:26.58).
  • Senior Hailey Krajewski (Clifton, N.J./DePaul Catholic) won the 200 IM (2:29.26).
  • Sophomore Sarah Gomez (Paterson, N.J./Passaic County Tech) tallied nine points in the 1,000 free (12:41.79).
  • The Pioneers secured 11 points in the 400-medley relay with efforts by Pricken, Gomez, Krajewski and Vail, finishing with a time of 4:25.29.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Senior Melody Espin (Colonia, N.J./Colonia) secured a personal best in the 200 IM (2:52.43).
UP NEXT:
  • William Paterson travels to Danbury, Conn. on Saturday, Jan. 27 for a 12 p.m. meet against Western Connecticut State.
