Women's Swimming and Diving Bested Brooklyn, 99-95

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (4-3-1) edged Brooklyn (2-3) on the road, 99-95, on Dec. 2.
 
TOP PERFORMERS:
  • Senior Hailey Krajewski (Clifton, N.J./DePaul Catholic) won the 200 free (2:23.41) and 100 fly (1:05.88).
  • Junior Samantha Pricken (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) touched the wall first in the 50 free (27.17) and 100 back (1:07.06).
  • Sophomore Sarah Gomez (Paterson, N.J./Passaic County Tech) posted a first-place finish in the 100 free (59.10).
  • The Pioneers were victorious in the 200 medley with efforts by Pricken, Krajewski, senior Jillian Starace (Toms River, N.J./Toms River East) and graduate student Rose Vail (Phoenix, Md./Dulaney), finishing with a time of 2:05.72.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Freshman Kira Collum (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) posted a personal best in the 50 free (32.15).
  • Freshman Sarah Filipowicz (Hewitt, N.J./West Milford) secured a personal record in the 100 back (1:36.90).

UP NEXT:
  • William Paterson travels to Throggs Neck, N.Y. on Tuesday, Dec. 5 for a 6:00 p.m. meet against Maritime.
