BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (1-1-1) finished 1-1-1, Oct. 21, at the Sarah Lawrence Invitational to open up the 2023-24 season. The Pioneers defeated Western Connecticut State (0-3), 136-75, tied with Bard (1-1-1), 101-101, and fell to Sarah Lawrence (3-0), 130-79.

TOP PERFORMERS:
- Junior Samantha Pricken (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) touched the wall first in the 50 free (27.74) and 100 back (1:07.83).
- Sophomore Sarah Gomez (Paterson, N.J./Passaic County Tech) won the 100 IM with a time of 1:07.50.
INSIDETHE NUMBERS:
- Gomez posted personal bests in the 100 fly (1:09.07) and 100 IM (1:07.50).
- Senior Melody Espin (Colonia, N.J./Colonia) earned personal records in the 50 free (30.51) and 100 free (1:09.43).
