VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson men's soccer team (5-9-1, 1-4-1 NJAC) used a second-half penalty kick to secure a hard-fought 1-1 draw against No. 14 Kean (9-0-5, 4-0-2 NJAC) Oct. 13 at Pioneer Soccer Park.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Cougars put themselves on the scoreboard in the sixth minute, finishing a rebound off the post.

  • Navas collected his 12th goal of the season, and fourth from the penalty spot. He ranks second in the NJAC in both overall goals and conference-only goals (five).
  • The Cougars were ranked 14th in this week's United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll.
  • It was WP's first draw against a ranked opponent since a 1-1 home result against No. 17 Rowan (9/21/19).
