Graduate student Carly McDaniel earned two solo first-place finishes against Lehman

Women's Swimming and Diving Extend their Win Streak to Four in Non-Conference Action

BRONX, N.Y. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (8-5) extended their win streak to four, defeating Lehman (1-6), 87-61, on Tuesday, Jan. 10.
 
TOP PERFORMERS:
  • The Pioneers finished first in the 200 medley relay with efforts by junior Samantha Pricken (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley), freshman Sarah Gomez (Paterson, N.J./Passaic County Tech), junior Hailey Krajewski (Clifton, N.J./DePaul Catholic) and graduate student Carly McDaniel (Lincoln Park, N.J./Boonton), finishing with a time of 2:01.91.
  • Junior Nicole Kahwaty (Lakke Hopatcong, N.J./Morris County Tech) was victorious in the 1,000 free (14:05.43).
  • McDaniel secured two first-place finishes in the 200 free (2:05.41) and 100 fly (1:02.67).
  • Gomez won the 200 IM (2:26.33) and 100 free (59.16).
  • Pricken touched the wall first in the 100 back (1:06.34).
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • McDaniel's first-place finish in the 200 free was a personal best (2:05.41).
UP NEXT:
  • William Paterson returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 14 at Wightman Pool against Mount St. Mary for a 1 p.m. meet.
