WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson men's soccer team put on a strong performance, defeating CCNY 6-1 at Pioneer Soccer Park on Sept. 12.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Johnny Gadaleta (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) scored the first goal of the night in the 7^th minute, assisted by Jason Diaz (Hawthorne, N.J./Hawthorne) and Adrian Dominguez (South Plainfield, N.J./South Plainfield).
• Roger Bermejo (Passaic, N.J./Passaic County Technical Institute) added two insurance goals in the 40^th and 47^th minutes, with an assist from Gadaleta.
• Diego Navas (Piscataway, N.J./Piscataway) recorded two more goals in the 58^th and 61^st minutes, with assists by Jason Diaz (Hawthorne, N.J./Hawthorne), Kyle Hanlon (Charleston, S.C./James Island Carter) and Owen Stahl (Succasunna, N.J./Seton Hall Prep).
• In the 68^th minute, Michael Robedee (Spring Lake, N.J./Saint Rose) hit the back of the net off a penalty kick.
• CCNY would get on the scoreboard in the 77^th minute with its lone goal of the night.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Gadaleta gained his first goal and assist of the season.
• Bermejo tallied his second and third goal during tonight's matchup.
• Navas recorded two goals in his first matchup of the season.
• Robedee scored his first goal at William Paterson tonight.
