FRANKLIN, N.J. – The William Paterson golf team (0-1) dropped its 2022-23 season opener to FDU-Florham (2-0), 366-316, Oct. 6 at the par-71, 6334-yard Black Bear Golf Course.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Seniors Anthony Slekis (Fairfield, N.J./West Essex) and Christopher McCann (Highland Lakes, N.J./Vernon Twp.) both carded rounds of 86 (+15) to tie for fifth individually.
• Junior Vincent Limone (Little Ferry, N.J./Ridgefield Park) had a 96 (+25), and senior Antonio Martiniello (Paramus, N.J./Don Bosco Prep) posted a 98 (+27).
• Junior Jake Lutz (River Vale, N.J./Pascack Valley Regional) recorded a 99 (+28), while sophomore Tyler De Benedetto (Clifton, N.J./Clifton) finished with a 125 (+54).
• FDU-Florham's Chris DeRogatis had the best round of the day with a five-over 76.
