Women's Swimming and Diving Secures a Non-Conference Win Against Baruch, 114-72

NEW YORK, N.Y. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (3-3, 0-1 NJAC) earned a non-conference win against Baruch College, 114-72.

TOP PERFORMERS:
  • Junior Nicole Kahwaty (Lakke Hopatcong, N.J./Morris County Tech) locked in first-place finishes in the 800 meter free (11:49.13) and 400 meter free (5:55.71).
  • Graduate student Carly McDaniel (Lincoln Park, N.J./Boonton) secured first-place finishes in the 50 meter free (28.93) and the 100 meter free (1:04.33).
  • Freshman Sarah Gomez (Paterson, N.J./Passaic County Tech) finished first in the 200 meter IM (2:43.27) and the 100 meter fly (1:19.26).
  • The Pioneers touched the wall first in the 200 meter medley relay, locking a time of 2:15.78, with efforts from junior Samantha Pricken (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley), Gomez, McDaniel and junior Hailey Krajewski (Clifton, N.J./DePaul Catholic).
  • WP defeated Baruch in the 200 meter free relay, with efforts from senior Stephany Bolanos (Perth Amboy, N.J./Academy for Allied Health & Biomedical Sciences), junior Melody Espin (Colonia, N.J./Colonia) and seniors Emily Murphy (Stockholm, N.J./Wallkill Valley Regional) and Jillian Starace (Toms River/Toms River East), locking in a time of 2:20.67.
