BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (2-3, 0-1 NJAC) went 2-2 at the Sarah Lawrence Invitational on Oct. 22, defeating Purchase, 116-44 and Western Connecticut State, 103-71. The Pioneers fell to Sarah Lawrence, 128-79 and Bard, 104-98.

TOP PERFORMERS:
- Junior Samantha Pricken (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) led the way for the Pioneers as she secured two first-place finishes in the 50 back (29.58) and the 100 back (1:06.43).
- Graduate student Carly McDaniel (Lincoln Park, N.J./Boonton) also secured two first-place finishes for WP in the 50 free (25.49) and the 50 fly (27.50).
- The Pioneers won the 200 free relay with efforts from senior Jillian Starace (Toms River/Toms River East), freshman Sarah Gomez (Paterson, N.J./Passaic County Tech), Pricken and McDaniel, recording a time of 1:49.22.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Senior Emily Murphy (Stockholm, N.J./Wallkill Valley Regional) posted a new personal best in the 100 IM, marking a time of 1:19.26.

- William Paterson travels to Baruch on Oct. 28 for a 6:00 p.m. meet.
