Maloney Cards Career-Best Round, Men’s Golf Falls to FDU-Florham

Junior Jack Maloney shot a career-low 72 (even par) at Black Bear.

HAMBURG, N.J. – Junior Jack Maloney (Sparta, N.J./Sparta) shot his career-best round, but the William Paterson men's golf team (0-1) dropped a 326-339 decision to FDU-Florham (1-0) April 13.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Maloney shot a career-best 72 for an even-par finish, leading both teams' individual efforts.
  • Senior Tim Kunz (Commack, N.Y./Commack) shot an 86 (+14, tied-sixth), followed by junior Yash Dave (West Windsor, N.J./West Windsor Plainsboro H.S. South) with an 89 (+17, eighth).
  • Freshman Anthony Slekis (Fairfield, N.J./West Essex) carded a 92 (+20, ninth) and sophomore Thomas Hatch (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) had a 113 (+41, 10th) at the par-72, 5,883-yard Black Bear Golf Course.
