WAYNE, N.J. –The William Paterson field hockey team (8-8, 1-5 NJAC) was upended by No. 6 Rowan (14-2, 6-0 NJAC), 7-0 in its regular season finale on Oct. 29
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Profs scored the first goal of the contest in the first minute of the contest on a turnaround shot in front of the cage to take the 1-0 lead.
• Rowan would extend its lead at the 19:03 mark, putting in a shot from the top of the circle to take the 2-0 advantage going into the second half.
• The Profs would collect three goals in the third quarter at the 32nd, 39th, and 43rd minutes to take a 5-0 lead.
• Rowan finished the contest with two more goals in the fourth quarter at the 42:68 mark off a rebound shot from the left post and at the 52:57 mark off a shot hitting the back of the cage from the top of the circle.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Sophomore goalie Emily Hoagland (Bayville, N.J./Central Regional) tallied seven saves for the Pioneers.
