Women's Swimming and Diving Stretches Win Streak to Four After SUNY-Delhi Victory

Junior Sara Haller Swept the Diving Events

Iris Santos placed first in the 50 free.

DELHI, N.Y. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (9-1, 1-1 NJAC) extended its win streak to four straight victories with a 94-72 result at SUNY-Delhi Dec. 7.

TOP PERFORMERS:

Sara Haller (Cupertino, Calif./Monta Vista) swept the diving events to earn double-winning status. The junior earned 148.50 points in the one-meter dive and 173.50 points in the three-meter event.
Sophomore Leah Santonastaso (Newton, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) touched first in the 1000 free with a time of 13:17.87.
Junior Iris Santos (Paterson, N.J./Passaic County Tech) placed first in the 50 free after completing the race in 28.82.
Freshman Jillian Starace (Toms River/Toms River East) touched the wall with a personal best time of 1:13.37 to earn first place in the 100 back.
Sophomore Taylor Friedman (South Amboy, N.J./Sayreville War Memorial) placed first in the 100 fly after a 1:08.77 finish.

UP NEXT:

WP heads to Aruba for its winter training trip on Jan. 2^nd before returning to Wightman Pool on Saturday, Jan. 11, for a Senior Day meet against Lehman. The face off starts at 1:00 p.m.
