2019 ECAC Tournament Central
DANBURY, CONN. – The William Paterson women's soccer team (9-8-3, 4-4-1 NJAC) will take on host McDaniel (15-6, 6-4 Centennial) in the ECAC Tournament semifinals Saturday, Nov. 23, at 11:00 a.m.

The Pioneers are the third seed in the ECAC's Pod 4, while the Green Terror are the overall top seed out of Pod 1.

WHAT'S ON THE LINE:
- The advancing team will play in the championship match Sunday, Nov. 24, at 12:00 p.m. at McDaniel.
WP IN THE ECAC TOURNAMENT:
- WP is making its third ECAC Tournament appearance in the last four years (2000, 2003, 2008, 2009, 2012, 2016, 2017, 2019), and the Pioneers are seeking their second title (2009).
SCOUTING THE PIONEERS:
- William Paterson earned a 2-1 victory against second-seeded Wilkes (8-9-1, 4-3 MAC Freedom) in the ECAC Tournament Pod 4 first round Nov. 16, and a 3-0 shootout triumph after a 1-1 double-overtime quarterfinal draw against top-seeded Albright (13-8-1, 5-3 MAC Commonwealth) Nov. 17. The Pioneers reached the first round of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Tournament.
- The 2019 NJAC Offensive Player of the Year and a four-time first-team all-conference selection, senior forward Marisa Adelman (Branchburg, N.J./Somerville) paces the team in goals (12) and points (28). She was the 2018 NJAC Co-Offensive Player of the Year, the 2016 ECAC Metro Region Rookie of the Year and the 2016 NJAC Co-Rookie of the Year.
- Senior midfielder Lorraine Moffitt (Paramus, N.J./Paramus), an honorable-mention all-NJAC pick each of the last two seasons, owns five goals and a team-best eight assists.
- Honorable-mention all-league junior midfielder Danielle Dachowski (Succasunna, N.J./Roxbury) has tallied 17 points (7 g, 3 a), while four-time all-NJAC selection Kristen Bowe (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Knolls) has collected five goals and an assist as a senior midfielder. Senior forward Corrine Bowe (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Knolls), also an honorable-mention all-conference designee, owns five goals and four assists.
- Junior Erica Hickey (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y./Comsewogue) has compiled a 1.43 goals-against average, .766 save percentage and three shutouts while starting 17 matches in goal. Senior back Ashley Cozzi (Middletown, N.J./Middletown South), a starter in all 76 career contests, garnered second-team all-NJAC laurels this fall.
SCOUTING THE GREEN TERROR:
- McDaniel secured a 6-0 win against fourth-seeded Penn State Behrend (10-8-2, 8-1-1 AMCC) in the ECAC Tournament first round Nov. 16, and a 2-0 victory against second-seeded Pfeiffer (13-5, 7-1 USA South) during the quarterfinals Nov. 17. The Green Terror advanced to the first round of the Centennial Conference Tournament.
- Junior midfielder Maddie Schwartz leads Albright with 13 goals and 31 points, garnering second-team all-Centennial honors. Sophomore forward Hannah Schepers, a member of the All-Centennial Second Team, has chipped in 11 goals and five assists for 27 points, and junior midfielder/forward and honorable-mention all-CC pick Kristen Worry has added two goals and 12 assists.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Katherine Carstensen owns a 0.82 goals-against average, .754 save percentage and nine shutouts during 21 appearances.
LAST TIME THEY MET:
- This will be the first meeting between the WP and McDaniel women's soccer programs.
