Women's Swimming and Diving Rolls Past Baruch, 122-101

Senior Ashley Lawler and Junior Iris Santos Each Posted Two Victories

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (3-0) added another victory to its winning record following a 122-101 triumph over visiting Baruch (0-3) Oct. 22.

TOP PERFORMERS:

Senior diver Ashley Lawler (Linwood, N.J./Mainland Regional) was a double winner, placing first in both the one meter dive with 167.65 points and the three meter dive with 195.25 points.
Iris Santos (Paterson, N.J./Passaic County Tech) also notched two individual victories. The junior touched first in the 50 free (27.43) and the 100 free (102.36).
Taylor Friedman (South Amboy, N.J./Sayreville War Memorial) earned a come-from-behind win in the 200 IM (2:32.69).
Senior Anna Boyton (Sewell, N.J./Clearview Regional) touched the wall first in the 100 fly to record an individual win with a time of 1:08.55.

IN THE NUMBERS:

Emily Murphy (Stockholm, N.J./Walkhill Valley Regional) dropped seconds off of multiple times this race and added seven points to the victory. The freshman improved her time in the 200 IM (2:47.45), the 100 breast (1:28.68), and the 100 back (1:20.79).

UP NEXT:

The Pioneers travel to Maritime on Tuesday, Oct. 29, for a 6:00 p.m. meet against the Privateers.
