Lawler and Reynolds were Double Winners as the Women's Swimming and Diving Team Dropped Decision to Ramapo

Senior Quinn Reynolds was a double winner by defeating opponents in the 50 free and 100 back.

WAYNE, N.J. – Despite a pair of double winners, the women's swimming and diving team (10-4, 1-3 NJAC) was unable to overcome Ramapo (2-8, 2-3 NJAC), dropping a 144-80 decision Jan. 29.

TOP PERFORMERS:

Senior Quinn Reynolds (Delran, N.J./Delran) tallied two victories against the Roadrunners. She took first in the 50 free (27.02) and the 100 back (1:05.17) to notch points for the Pioneers.
Diver Ashley Lawler (Linwood, N.J./Mainland Regional) also took home a pair of wins. The junior scored 207.30 points in the one-meter dive and 214.20 points in the three-meter dive to become victorious.
Senior Casey Murphy (Hardyston, N.J./Wallkill Valley Regional) touched first in the 500 free with a time of 5:48.93.
Leah Santonastaso (Newton, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) recorded two personal best times this meet. The freshman touched the wall in 6:22.04 for the 500 free and in 12:54.87 for the 1000 free.
Sophomore Iris Santos (Paterson, N.J./Passaic County Tech) was narrowly out-touched in the 100 free (1:00.96) to take second.
Junior Mariah Jenkins (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Saviour) swam a personal best time for the season in the 100 breast to place second with a time of 1:18.98.

UP NEXT:

The women's swimming and diving team takes a trip to Ewing, N.J. to compete against The College of New Jersey on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 2:00 p.m for the last meet of the season before they head to the Metropolitan Championships later in the month.
