Adelman’s Brace Eases Women’s Soccer to Victory at St. Joseph’s L.I., 2-0

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – The William Paterson women's soccer team (2-5, 0-1 NJAC) secured the first road victory of 2018 with a 2-0 decision over St. Joseph's – Long Island (1-3) on Sept. 19.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Pioneers opened the scoring in the 10th minute when Lorraine Moffitt's (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) deep pass found a streaking Marisa Adelman (Branchburg, N.J./Somerville), who then beat the keeper with a right-footed chip just under crossbar.
  • At the 24:35 mark, sophomore midfielder Danielle Dachowski (Roxbury, N.J./Roxbury) sent a through ball to the top of the box and Adelman's low strike found the back of the net.
  • Erica Hickey (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y./Comsewogue) collected a pair of saves, registering her second shutout of the season.
