Pioneers Defeat FDU-Florham Behind Thomson’s 77

HAMBURG, N.J. – The William Paterson golf team (1-0) registered a solid 325-341 victory against FDU-Florham (0-1) Oct. 5 during the Pioneers' first dual match of the season.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

The Pioneers shot 325 (+37) on the par-72, 6,334-yard Black Bear Golf Course layout.
Junior Tyler Thomson (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) led the field with a five-over 77, six shots better than his previous best round.
Junior Jake Imbasciani (Ringwood, N.J./Lakeland Regional) carded a 78 (+6) to place second individually, while senior Troy Hartung (Hawthorne, N.J./Passaic County Tech) finished fourth with an 83 (+11).
Junior Timmy Kunz (Commack, N.Y./Commack) rounded out WP's lineup with an 87 (+15, seventh).

William Paterson will finish its fall schedule Friday, Oct. 19, at 9:30 a.m. against New Jersey City at Black Bear Golf Course.
