Women's Swimming and Diving Falls Short Against Baruch

The Pioneers Finished First in Six Races

Senior Casey Murphy was a double winner.

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (2-1) fell at Baruch (1-0) by a small margin, 107-98, despite touching first in five single races and a relay on Oct. 23.

TOP PERFORMERS:

Senior Casey Murphy (Hardyston, N.J./Wallkill Valley Regional) was a double winner in the 800-M free with a time of 10:43.14, as well as the 400-M free with a time of 5:16.14.
Taylor Friedman (South Amboy, N.J./Sayreville War Memorial) won the 100-M fly. The freshman recorded a time of 1:16.19.
Freshman Kassey Mendoza (Passaic, N.J./Paramus Catholic) earned a victory in the 100-M free with a time of 1:06.19.
Senior Quinn Reynolds (Delran, N.J./Delran) was successful in swimming the 100-M back and won the race with a time of 1:13.18.
Murphy, senior Christianne Joyce Pineda (Haskell, N.J./Hackensack), Mendoza, and Reynolds each did their part to record the win in the 200-M free relay by touching the wall first in 2:02.73.
