Carly Satter (Branchville, N.J./High Point Regional) (Branchville, N.J./High Point Regional) found the back of the cage twice as the William Paterson field hockey team (1-1) registered a 3-0 victory at Western Connecticut (0-2) Sept. 3.
Sophomore back
Nicole Goitiandia (South Plainfield, N.J./South Plainfield) (South Plainfield, N.J./South Plainfield) got the scoring started when she got on the end of a ball from sophomore midfielder
Shannon Super (Oaklyn, N.J./Collingswood) (Oaklyn, N.J./Collingswood) 18:41 into the contest.
Satter made it a 2-0 game in the 38th minute, connecting on a pass from Super, and sophomore forward
Michaela Meillier (Mt. Laurel, N.J./Holy Cross) (Mt. Laurel, N.J./Holy Cross) set up Satter for the game's final goal less than four minutes later.
Junior
Mallory Rickerhauser (Lumberton, N.J./Rancocas Valley Regional) (Lumberton, N.J./Rancocas Valley Regional) collected three saves during the contest's first 65:15, and sophomore
Kerianne Brown (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) finished off the shutout in goal. Sophomore Elizabeth Fagan and freshman Neve Manion combined for eight Colonial stops.
William Paterson will open the home portion of its schedule Wednesday, Sept. 6, against Scranton at 7:00 p.m.
