FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – The William Paterson golf team posted its second-lowest team total in seven years as the Pioneers (1-0) defeated Old Westbury (0-2), 314-365, April 21 at Bethpage State Park Green Course.
 
Senior Kyle Stefanic (Pompton Lakes, N.J./Pompton Lakes) posted a 76 (+5) for the best round of the day, and freshman Jake Imbasciani (Ringwood, N.J./Lakeland Regional) carded a six-over 77. Junior Nick Pastor Poe (Newton, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) had the lowest effort of his career with an 80 (+9), freshman Timmy Kunz (Commack, N.Y./Commack) finished with an 81 (+10), and sophomore Troy Hartung (Hawthorne, N.J./Passaic County Tech) shot an 82 (+11).
 
The team total was just four off a 310 (+26) scored by WP against Purchase on March 28, 2012.
