Bos, Carmichael Find Back of Net for Pioneers

BOSTON, MASS. – The William Paterson women's soccer team (1-0-1) secured its first victory of the season with a 2-0 decision at Suffolk (0-2) Sept. 5.

Junior Julia Bos (Midland Park, N.J./Midland Park) broke the ice in the 22nd minute, lofting the ball over the keeper's head from 15 yards out for her first career strike.

WP added an insurance goal in the 84th minute when, after a turnover, sophomore midfielder Rachel Rivell's (Mickleton, N.J./Kingsway Regional) pass led junior midfielder Amanda Carmichael (Matawan, N.J./Matawan Regional) to score her second career goal.

Senior Kat Clint (Flanders, N.J./Mount Olive) collected four saves for the Pioneers, and freshman Kristen Weiker made eight stops for the Rams.
