Game OneWimmershoff's grand slam allowed the Pioneers to start the day with a 5-0 win.
Sophomore shortstop
Rachel Wasilak (Livingston, N.J./Livingston) singled to left to start the home half of the fourth, and senior catcher
Lachelle Rouse (Pine Hill, N.J./Overbrook Senior) then placed a bunt perfectly to the pitcher's right side for a base hit. Sophomore pinch hitter
Zigmary Colon (Paterson, N.J./Passaic County Tech) bunted back to the pitcher, who looked to see if she could get one of the existing base runners out before finally deciding to throw to first, and the speedy Colon beat the throw for a fielder's choice that loaded the bases. A grounder allowed the Scarlet Raptors to record the first out of the inning at home plate, and a strikeout then brought Wimmershoff to the plate. She drilled a home run deep to left, and WP owned a 4-0 lead.
