Video Highlights WAYNE, N.J. – Junior
Hannah Hillebrand (Stony Point, N.Y./North Rockland) broke two school records, but the William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (8-6, 0-3 NJAC) was unable to get past Ramapo (7-2, 3-1 NJAC), 173-103, Feb. 3 at Wightman Pool.
Hillebrand recorded the highest scores in school history in the one-meter (254.70) and three-meter (283.35) dives. Her performance in the three-meter meets the standards to qualify her for the NCAA Championships, and she can secure a berth to the national meet with another stellar performance during her next competition.
Sophomore
Vera Blazevska (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) recorded victories in the 100 breast (1:10.73), 200 breast (2:30.88) and 200 IM (2:21.72).
Seniors
Sheri Brino (Ogdensburg, N.J./Wallkill Valley Regional) and
Courtney Starace (Toms River, N.J./Toms River East), and freshman
Katelyn Diva (North Haledon, N.J./Wallkill Valley Regional) and
Kacie Holt (Belleplain, N.J./ Cape May Tech), captured the 200 free relay for the Pioneers (1:53.93).
The Pioneers' next meet will be held Saturday, Feb. 7, at The College of New Jersey at 2:00 p.m.
