Women’s Swimming and Diving Drops 66-29 Decision at Division II Adelphi

Junior Vera Blazevska was a double winner against Adelphi.
GARDEN CITY, N.Y.- The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (6-3) fell at Division II Adelphi (1-2), 66-29, Dec. 12.

Junior Vera Blazevska (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) was a double winner as she touched first in the 200 IM (2:22.40) and 100 breast (1:11.61).

Freshman Casey Murphy (Hardyston, N.J./Wallkill Valley Regional) finished second in the 500 free with a very fast time of 5:56.70.

The Pioneers' 200 medley relay team of senior Brittany English (Branchville, N.J./High Point Regional), junior Christine Gustafson (Clifton, N.J./Clifton), freshman Quinn Reynolds (Delran, N.J./Delran) and Blazevska finished second with their best time of the season (1:59.26).

The Pioneers travel to train in San Juan, Puerto Rico, before they host Queens Tuesday, Jan. 12, at 6:00 p.m.
