WAYNE, N.J. - The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (2-0) defeated Baruch (0-1), 124-78, Oct. 27.

The Pioneers were led by three double winners as junior Vera Blazevska (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) earned victories in the 200 IM (2:20.90) and 100 breast (1:10.56), freshman Tayana Castro (Clifton, N.J./Clifton) touched first in the 50 (26.52) and 100 (58.83) frees, and senior Hannah Hillebrand (Stony Point, N.Y./North Rockland) captured first in the one-meter (206.70) and three-meter (245.85) dives.

Freshman Quinn Reynolds (Delran, N.J./Delran) touched first in the 100 back (1:06.10), and junior Christine Gustafson (Clifton, N.J./Clifton) triumphed in the 100 fly (1:07.24).

Senior Brittany English (Branchville, N.J./High Point Regional) finished first in the 200 free (2:13.83).

William Paterson will next compete at Maritime Thursday, Oct. 29, at 6:00 p.m.
