NEW YORK, N.Y. – Junior
Hannah Hillebrand (Stony Point, N.Y./North Rockland) established a new school record in the one-meter dive as the William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (7-4) earned a 127-93 team victory Jan. 22 at Lehman (3-7).
Hillebrand's six-dive score of 251.4 eclipsed the record of 249.23 recorded last season by current WP sophomore
Courtney Lawler (Northfield, N.J./Mainland Regional). Hillebrand also placed first in the three-meter dive (242.78).
Senior
Sheri Brino (Ogdensburg, N.J./Wallkill Valley Regional) touched first in the 1,000 free (12:28.84) and 200 back (2:27.84), and sophomore
Christine Gustafson (Clifton, N.J./Clifton) earned wins in the 50 free (27.72) and 200 fly (2:33.84). Classmate
Vera Blazevska (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) posted victories in the 200 IM (2:20.35) and 200 breast (2:28.99).
Junior
Brittany English (Branchville, N.J./High Point Regional) finished first in the 200 free (2:11.87), while sophomore
Cassandra Beck (Lusby, Md./Patuxent) won the 500 free (6:12.86).
The Pioneers will host Bard Saturday, Jan. 24, at 1:00 p.m. WP students will be eligible to win a GoPro Hero 3 and a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4, the first 75 will receive a Pioneer towel, and the first 25 will take home a Pioneer stadium chair.
