Box Score GLASSBORO, N.J. – William Paterson (4-5, 0-2 NJAC) suffered a 7-0 field hockey loss at Rowan (5-3, 1-0 NJAC) Sept. 27.
Sam Browne opened the scoring at the 4:07 mark off assists from Marisa Marini and Jenna O'Sullivan, tipping in a shot from the top of the circle. Courtney Aquino doubled the lead, knocking in a bouncing ball off a Marini pass in the 15th minute.
Marini scored her first goal of the game at the 25:12 mark, launching a shot from the top left of the circle off an Erika Mecchella pass. Aquina converted a turnover for a 4-0 score in the 38th minute.
Amber Gundle found the back of the cage on a penalty corner 15 minutes into the second half, thanks to assists from Aquino and Jenna Pressler. Marini scored on Karlee Henderson's pass in the 56th minute, and Meagan Costello finished the scoring at the 57:10 mark, converting Marissa Moreno's pass out of a scramble.

Meg Davies (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) made six saves in 29:00 of action for the Pioneers, and freshman
Courtney Ross (South Plainfield, N.J./South Plainfield) had six stops during the remainder of the contest. Kim Pyhel, Carly DeMarco and Suzy Mansour combined for the shutout for the Profs.
William Paterson will visit Gwynedd Mercy Wednesday, Oct. 1, at 7:00 p.m.
