STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Three double winners paced the William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (4-2) as it cruised to a 129-72 victory at Staten Island (1-4) Nov. 19.
Sophomore
Courtney Lawler (Northfield, N.J./Mainland Regional) won the one-meter (188.5) and three-meter (175.25) dives, and sophomore
Vera Blazevska (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) posted victories in the 200 IM (2:20.82) and 200 breast (2:30.90).
Senior
Sheri Brino (Ogdensburg, N.J./Wallkill Valley Regional) touched first in the 1,650 free (20:46.22) and 200 back (2:31.28), while junior
Brittany English (Branchville, N.J./High Point Regional) was victorious in the 200 free with a time of 2:09.14.
Sophomore
Christine Gustafson (Clifton, N.J./Clifton) earned a win in the 200 fly (2:28.74), and classmate
Cassandra Beck (Lusby, Md./Patuxent) finished first in the 500 free (6:19.5).
The Pioneers will host Purchase Saturday, Nov. 22, at 1:00 p.m.
