Women’s Swimming and Diving Drops Decision to Hunter

Pioneers Fall, 128-95

Senior Sheri Brino posted wins in the 1,000 free (12:44.76) and 100 back (1:08.66) against Hunter.

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (3-2) dropped a 125-98 decision to visiting Hunter (2-0) Nov. 11.

Senior Sheri Brino (Ogdensburg, N.J./Wallkill Valley Regional) was one of two double winners for the Pioneers, finishing first in the 1,000 free (12:44.76) and 100 back (1:08.66).Sophomore Courtney Lawler (Northfield, N.J./Mainland Regional) was the other, placing first in the one-meter (191.25) and three-meter (206.02) dives.
 
Sophomore Vera Blazevska (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) touched first in the 100 breast (1:10.70), and junior Brittany English (Branchville, N.J./High Point Regional) earned a victory in the 100 free (59.49).
 
The Pioneers will return to action Wednesday, Nov. 19, at Staten Island at 6:00 p.m.
