Box Score GALLOWAY, N.J. – The William Paterson men's soccer team (5-5-2, 1-2-1 NJAC) battled to a 0-0, double-overtime tie at Richard Stockton (7-3-3-, 1-1-2 NJAC) Oct. 4.
Stockton was able to get two quality shots on net in the second half. Anthony Colofranson hit the crossbar 12:24 into the period and Bobby Spracklin later rattled a shot off the post on a free kick with just 4:48 remaining. The Pioneers put two shots on frame but were turned away as well, ending regulation play still scoreless.
With 1:34 left in the first overtime period, Clevon McPherson was awarded a free kick, but his shot from just outside the box narrowly missed the lower right corner. With 1:15 remaining in the second overtime, senior midfielder
Omar Jallow (Union City, N.J./Union City) blasted a volley from 10 yards out that sailed high over the net.
Sophomore keeper
Mike Diacheysn (Nutley, N.J./Nutley) made three saves for his third shutout of the year, and Stockton goalkeeper Bobby Varga posted his seventh shutout of the season, making three saves.
William Paterson will host St. Joseph's-Long Island Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 7:00 p.m.
