Box Score Video Highlights WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson field hockey team (4-7, 0-3 NJAC) lost a 5-0 decision to visiting No. 11 Montclair State (9-2, 2-0 NJAC) Oct. 3.
Sophomore Danielle Butrico tipped in a Joelle Butrico shot from the left wing to start the scoring in the third minute, and junior forward Maura Johnston tipped in a pass from Danielle Butrico at the left post five minutes later.
Danielle Butrico had her second goal on another tip in, this one off a long drive by sophomore forward Gianna Moglino on a penalty corner play at the 15:04 mark.
Moglino connected on freshman Kaitlyn Struss' pass from the left post in the 43rd minute, and senior back Abby Erler found the back of the cage with an unassisted goal at the 59:53 mark, moving in from the left wing and scoring from nine yards out.

Courtney Ross (South Plainfield, N.J./South Plainfield) made two stops during the final 9:05. Sophomore midfielder

Courtnaey Chelf (Blackwood, N.J./Triton Regional) each had a defensive save for WP. Junior Rebecca Brattole and freshman Kaitlin Maguire combined for the shutout for MSU.
William Paterson will play at Misericordia Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 7:00 p.m.
