WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (2-0) benefitted from three double winners to overpower FDU-Florham (0-4) in its first home meet of the season, 107-71, Oct. 25.
Senior
Sheri Brino (Ogdensburg, N.J./Wallkill Valley Regional) won the 1,000 free (12:30.73) and the 100 back (1:11.18), while sophomore
Vera Blazevska (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) claimed victories of the 200 IM (2:35.82) and the 500 free (5:47.54).
Sophomore
Courtney Lawler (Northfield, N.J./Mainland Regional) finished first in the one-meter (187.95) and three-meter (172.95) dives.
Juniors
Brittany English (Branchville, N.J./High Point Regional) won the 200 free (2:13.22), and
Patricia Keene (Forked River, N.J./Lacey Twp.) touched first in the 100 breast (1:25.67). Sophomore
Christine Gustafson (Clifton, N.J./Clifton) triumphed in the 100 fly (1:09.14).
The Pioneers will next host Maritime on Thursday, Oct. 30, at 6:00 p.m.
