GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – The William Paterson women's swimming & diving team (8-2) fell to Division II Adelphi (2-2), 58-37, Dec. 11.

Freshman Vera Blazevska (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) was a double winner for the Pioneers, touching first in the 200 IM (2:23.06) and the 100 breast (1:11.87).

Senior Kathryn Burke (Sewell, N.J./Washington Twp.) finished first in the 100 fly (1:06.50).

The team of Blazevska, Burke, junior Sheri Brino (Ogdensburg, N.J./Wallkill Valley Regional) and sophomore Brittany English (Branchville, N.J./High Point Regional) posted a winning time of 2:00.90 in the 200 medley relay.

William Paterson will host Division II Queens on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at 6:00 p.m.
