Field Hockey Falls in ECAC Quarterfinals

Seventh-Seeded Pioneers Lose at Second-Seeded Stevens, 4-0

Box Score HOBOKEN, N.J. – Seventh-seeded William Paterson (10-10) fell at second-seeded Stevens (13-7), 4-0, in the quarterfinal round of the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Region Field Hockey Tournament Nov. 13.

Grace Ridge gave the Ducks a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute when she scored off a penalty corner, and Erin Silvestri doubled that advantage less than two minutes before halftime when she cleaned up a loose ball.

Marguerite Chavez found the back of the cage at the 38:27 mark, and Rachel Chavez converted a Megan Traub pass in the 46th minute.

Senior Kellye Statz (Robbinsville, N.J./Robbinsville) had nine saves for the Pioneers, and senior Annalis Mitcho (Glassboro, N.J./Gloucester County Institute of Technology) and freshman Meghin Stanton (Chesterfield, N.J./Northern Burlington Regional) each contributed a defensive save. Emily Stukenborg made seven stops for Stevens and was helped by two defensive saves by her teammates.
