THROGGS NECK, N.Y. – The William Paterson women's swimming & diving team (3-0) earned its third-straight victory to start the season, defeating Maritime (1-1), 133-83, Oct. 30.

The Pioneers had four double winners. Sophomore Gabrielle Porcaro (Belleville, N.J./Belleville) placed first in the 500 (6:00.51) and 1,000 (12:25.07) frees, both season-best times. Classmate Brittany English (Branchville, N.J./High Point Regional) touched first in the 100 (1:00.73) and 200 (2:13.19) frees.

Freshman Vera Blazevska (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) posted winning times of 2:24.74 in the 200 IM and 1:11.87 in the 100 breast. 

Freshman diver Courtney Lawler (Northfield, N.J./Mainland Regional) won the one-meter (190.35) and three-meter (166.25) dives.

William Paterson will host Purchase on Saturday, Nov. 2, at 1:00 p.m.
