BRONX, N.Y. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (7-5) defeated Lehman (1-11),119-84, on the road Jan. 24.
The Pioneers had four double-winners. Senior
Taylor McKay (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) took first in the 200 IM (2:33.86) and the 100 fly (1:07.86). Junior
Lauren Carney (East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick) won the 200 free in 2:09.42 and the 500 free in 5:50.38.
Sophomore
Sheri Brino (Ogdensburg, N.J./Wallkill Valley Regional) placed first in the 50 free (27.67) and the 100 free (1:00.82). Junior
Katie Jeon (Fort Lee, N.J./Fort Lee) won the one-meter (161.95) and three-meter (175.30) dives.
Freshman
Brittany English (Branchville, N.J./High Point Regional) posted a winning time of 1:11.29 in the 100 back, while sophomore
Courtney Starace (Toms River, N.J./Toms River East) finished first in the 1,000 free (13:01.65). Senior
Kerry Doris (East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick) won the 100 breast in 1:18.60.
William Paterson will celebrate Senior Day when it hosts Bard on Saturday, Jan. 26, at 1:00 p.m.
