BOX SCORE
MAHWAH, N.J. – The William Paterson women's soccer team (5-4-2, 2-2 NJAC) established a two-goal advantage by halftime, rolling to a 3-0 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) victory at Ramapo (4-4, 1-3 NJAC) Sept. 26.
Senior
Michelle Marabondo (Kenvil, N.J./Roxbury) got WP on the scoreboard in the 25th minute after classmate
Laela Brock (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) stripped an outside back and slid the ball over to Marabondo, who buried it for her league-leading 14th goal of the season.
Senior
Erika Juricic's (East Windsor, N.J./Hightstown) cross was misjudged by Ramapo keeper Talia Auslin and Brock was able to tap it in at the post, her sixth goal of the year to make it a 2-0 edge at the 39:30 mark.
Marabondo added a 69th-minute insurance goal, dribbling through the defense and finding the back of the net for her second goal of the day.
Junior
Mary Jane Seiler (Robbinsville, N.J./Robbinsville) played the first half for WP, making one save, and classmate
Alyssa Falduto (Nutley, N.J./Nutley) posted three second-half stops. Auslin had 12 saves for the Roadrunners as the Pioneers built a 23-13 lead in shots.
